Spirit ran all the way to the gym, with both Coal and Feather on her tail. People may not of have noticed her previously, but now they were stopping to stare at her as she raced by, gasping and pointing at the Houndour that was following after her. Feather however, kept just out of everyone's reach, giggling childishly as people watched in awe, as small children tried to jump up to touch him. But he just continued following Spirit down the sidewalk. Finally, after a long run all the way to the other side of town, she had reached the gym. She looked up at it in awe. the gym was a very intricate building, with wires and lights running around the structure, making it look like a very strange metal Christmas tree. Then it struck her -- she didn't really know what really to expect. But with the no substitutions rule, not that her Pokémon knew Substitute, it didn't seem like she would get much of a chance to try and balance out her team. The best she could do at this point was pit her strongest Pokémon against the leader's weakest, and her weakest against his strongest, so at least her lower level Pokémon would get more experience. The leader would probably start off with his weakest and work into his strongest pokemon, so she'd start with Jolt and Jack Sparrow, then the next battle would be Coal and Feather. Coal's unusually green eyes beaming at Spirit. She nodded. "Yes, thanks for that you two. Lets get going." She said, and lead the group into the gym. Once inside, she took a moment to look around. The walls were plain white in the gym... Wow. She stopped in the middle of the room, though she didn't see anyone there. "Um, hello? I'd like to challenge the Gym Leader!" She called into the room, sealing her fate. Feather stayed by Spirit's side, and Coal wandered around aimlessly, looking at every little thing of interest.

A giggle left her lips, as she played with Ginger, her little darling Growlithe, in the back room of the Gym. Fewer and fewer Trainers were coming to challenge her, so she tended to remain in the back for the most part nowadays, playing with her two Pokemon, which she absolutely adored.
Flame, her star Charmander and strongest Pokemon, was messing with the flame on his tail, flaring it up and toning it down, over and over, like it was the most facinating thing on the planet; she giggled again.
A voice reached her ears, the feminine voice of a Trainer, and her ears perked up. "Huh?" she squeaked quietly in mild shock, looking out toward the front of the Gym. Sure enough, a Trainer stood there, with two Pokemon at her side. Weaker than her own, from the looks of it, but she wasn't one to judge. Much.
Finally, some fun, she thought, rising from her chair and snapping her fingers, a command for her two Pokemon to follow her as she walked out to size this Trainer up.
"Ah, so finally someone has come to challenge me!" she exclaimed, her voice high and feminine. "I am Trivanna, the leader here at Centre Gym. Are you sure you wish to battle me?" she asked, smiling coyly.
This ought to be real good....

Spirit jumped at the voice but looked across the battle feild into the back room, she saw were the voice came from. Spirit calmed down from the shock. Coal growled at the Growlithe. "Yes i do"Spirit replied. The Gym leader's pokemon looked very strong, but she was sure that she would win. "What are the rules of this gym, once we agree on them, we shall fight"She said, determined to win this battle. She looked at the Charmander and thought "Charmander is a strong pokemon from the looks of it."She shifted her gaze to the Growlithe "Just as strong"She thought. This battle was going to be tough, but she would be prepared.

Trivanna saw this Trainer girl sizing up her Pokemon, and figured that she'd ought to return the favour. Her eyes fell upon the Houndour first, and she raised an eyebrow. The Pokemon didn't look too strong, really, in fact it looked young. The Pidgey was no different; young and inexperienced.
If this is all that I'm going up against... this may not be as fun as I thought it was going to be. She kept her face smooth, betraying no emotion, as she met the Trainer's eyes, a promise of battle.
"Rules are as follows: each Trainer picks two Pokemon that will battle, and no more than two. One on one battles, and when both of a Trainer's Pokemon are fainted, the battle is over. Agree?" she asked the trainer, looking to the man in the corner of the room.
He kept a watch over the battles, made sure they were fair, and declared the winners when the battles were over.
Trivanna looked down at her two Pokemon, the only two she had and the two she used in battle for every single battle she'd faced so far. They were her constant companions, and rarely did she lose, though she hadn't been leader for very long. It was possible, though; water Pokemon were a big weakness in this gym.

Spirit paused before answering. "Two pokemon, 1 vs 1, this is not what i planned But i must adapt!" She looked at Coal and Feather, they were level 5 and she could not risk losing them. "Coal, Feather Return." She commanded. The two pokemon looked at her before maroon light absorbed them. She took out two other pokeballs. "Jack Sparrow and Jolt! Out you come!"Spirit said after throwing the pokeballs in the air. The two opened and white light spilled right out, forming an Eevee and a Pachirisu. "Agreed, Lets go!"Dream shouted. Jack Sparrow nodded with a grin. <Lets do this Jack!>The Eevee squealed.

Trivanna raised an eyebrow as the Trainer switched out her Pokemon, and noticed that these Pokemon weren't very much stronger than the ones that the Trainer had just called back.
She looked at the man on the sideline, who just shrugged his shoulders. They'd never gone against such.... well, weak opponents before, and it was sort of a strange experience for them. Did this trainer really expect to get very far with weak Pokemon?
"Uh.... So those are the two Pokemon that you choose to battle with? Keep in mind that my Pokemon are levels 10 and 11. I feel it only fair to warn you of that...." Trivanna felt odd, having to go against such a weak Trainer. Maybe the girl had some stronger Pokemon hidden away that she would rather use, but Trivanna would have felt extremely rude asking that question.
Ginger the Growlithe sat herself on the ground, rolling onto her back and stretching her legs, her pre-battle ritual that she did almost every time. She was getting ready for the battle, taking this one just as seriously as any other battle.

Spirit nodded her head. She was ready, even if her pokemon are weak in her eyes, the bond between Jolt and Jack Sparrow and Spirit was strong, very strong, but Jack Sparrow would not be used in this battle. Spirit nodded, she would win, even if it took forever. "Yes, Jolt is the pokemon im willing to battle with."She said. She was willing to win, but she had to tell the Gym Leader something. "By the way, i adopted a level 9 Poochyena, he should be here soon, so if he does come, he will be used in this battle. I hope you can wait a few minutes for his arrival"Spirit wanted to let Trivanna know that the the Poochyena was the second pokemon that he would battle with.

Trivanna was a bit surprised at the Trainer's spoken words, and she nodded her head. "Yes, I think we could put the battle off for a few minutes, while you wait your new Pokemon's arrival." She liked Poochyenas, but much preffered her Growlithe or her Charmander. Fire Pokemon were just better, in her eyes, than any other Pokemon out there. At that moment however, a man came in with a pokeball "One Poochyena and a rather strange gift" He murmured. He took a bag and gave it to Spirit.
OOC: sorry it's so short.

OOC: Thats ok BIC: Spirit took the bag from him and opened it. "Now, where is it? Oh, a couple scarfs, a couple potions and the Poochyena" She murmured. She took out the items to place in her bag and held the pokeball in her hand. "Alright Spackle, Come on out!" She said as she threw the pokeball. It opened, white light erupted from it and formed a poochyena. <I'm ready!>He growled. Jolt looked at his new partner and nodded. Spirit took out a rare candy, opened it, and threw it at Jolt. Jolt ate it and felt himself gain a level. Jolt looked at Spackle and nodded. <We can do this! I know we can! But Remember, Charmander have Blaze, so if his tail goes up real high, better get your speed up and charged!> He murmured to Spackle. Spirit looked at her for a moment before speaking "Jolt, back up next to me, I want to see how well he can obey orders" Jolt backed up next to Spirit, leaving Spackle alone on the battlefield. "I suspect your using Charmander first, OK Spackle, Howl then Poison Fang!"She said. Spackle gave a long howl, feeling his attack go up, then his fangs turned bright purple, and he ran, with his limber and speed from running in the forest, to poison the Charmander, so the attack could finish quicker.
