You walk into the Pokemon Center, expecting to see a Nurse Joy and her faithful Chansey, but you get a big surprise. Instead, it's a male nurse named Joe (he's wearing a name tag!) and he has a Riolu at his side.
He looks at you with bright, kind eyes, and a huge smile plastered on his face. "Welcome to Centre Town, I assume you need your pokemon healed?" His Riolu walks from behind the counter to assist you, waiting for pokeballs to hand to his partner, Joe.

Allan yawned, it was late. "Yeah, that would be dandy."
The trainer bent down, picked up his little crocodile of a pokemon and set him on the counter. Allan unclipped the pokeball from his belt and returned Hayate to his home, which he should have done in the first place so he wouldn`t have had to pick him up. But it was late after all, and Allan`s brain wasn`t working very well right now. Allan paused for a moment, then grabbed the pokeball back off of the counter.
"On second though, I`m going to put him into my PC for a minute to upload his data." What ever that mean, he was just trying to sound intelligent at this point. Allan dragged himself over to the community PC and placed his pokeball on the little pad, then logged in. There was a loud ding sound, and he had something in his PC. Not only had Hayate just gained some levels (thank you technology!) but there was a mysterious pokemon awaiting him too.
So he pulled of the pokeball containing Hayate, and grabbed an empty one out of his backpack. Moving the mouse, Allan clicked on the pokemon, then selected Withdraw. Allan placed the empty pokeball on the pad and a bright light flashed, signifying that the transfer was complete. Then he slumped back over to the counter and handed off his pokemon.
"Alrighty, I think I`m ready this time..." After Allan placed the pokeballs on the counter he headed towards a couch off to the side in the center. It took less than two or three minutes for the sixteen year old to fall asleep, and he snored quietly.

The Lucario watched the trainer curiously, for he had never seen a trainer that would stall to have his or her Pokemon be healed. He didn't know what the trainer was doing, but as soon as he laid his Pokemon on the counter, he had walked off, without saying a word. The Lucario quickly grabbed the pokeballs, and was getting ready to find out about this situation, when he saw that the boy was already fast asleep. The Lucario sighed when he realized that the boy was exhausted. He was most likely hungry, too. He took the pokeballs to his partner, Joe, which was in the back healing an injured Pokemon.
"Thanks, Lucario," Joe said. <You're welcome, master,> the Lucario replied, using telepathy. The Lucario bowed as he exited the room, then went into the mini-kitchen to fix a quick plate of food; mashed Potatoes, Rice, gravy, and two slices of bread. He grabbed a glass and filled it almost full with milk, then carried the plate and glass to the main lobby where the boy was sleeping.
<Sorry to disturb you, sir, but you must be hungry and thirsty. I have brought you some food and milk. I hope you like the selection.> Lucario said telepathically while gently tapping the boy's shoulder.

Allan woke up, but still felt pretty groggy. With a yawn and a quick stretch, he sat up to see the Lucario giving him some food and a drink. It was a welcomed site, Allan and his little team of pokemon had not eaten in awhile so he finally had something to give him a little energy.
"Thanks." Allan replied to the pokemon, happily taking the food and milk that was given to him. He wasnt quite sure if he should have tipped them or not, but he really didn`t have much money himself. The trainer ate quickly, so he didn`t keep Joe waiting for too long. As soon as he had finished the food he tossed out the disposable plate and silverware and went back to the counter. Hoping that he hadn`t slept too long, which had only really been a couple of minutes, he wanted to snag his pokemon and head out to do some night training.

After the trainer had finished his meal, the Lucario actually smiled. <You were quite hungry. I am glad I was of some help. I will go check to see if your Pokemon are ready, now. Please wait just a moment.> Joe had taught this Lucario to be as polite as possible and to always use correct grammar when speaking - and never to use contraction words such as I'll and I'm. The Lucario was proud that his master had taken the time to teach him such things, for he loved the way he talked.
Joe was coming out just as the Lucario was going back to check up on the Pokemon Allan had dropped off. "Here ya' go. Good as new," Joe said to his Pokemon. The Lucario thanked him as he returned to care for the injured Pokemon and he walked back to the main lobby.
<Here you are, sir. Your Pokemon are ready for battle again. I hope your stay was satisfying. If you need to come back, please do not hesitate. We are here to help.> The Lucario bowed to Allan as he handed him the pokeballs. He was satisfied himself, for he loved to help Joe with the trainers that came through here. He couldn't think of any other lifestyle that would serve his needs better than to help recover injured Pokemon.

The last couple of minutes of his stay were filled with confusion and wonder. Allan hadn`t thought about it before, but the Lucario had been chatting him up a storm the last couple of minutes. Normal pokemon weren`t supposed to talk, so when Allan glanced back at the Lucario... its mouth hardly moved. It must have been like a psychic pokemon, but a Lucario was a fighting type, which was weak against psychic.... the whole mess was confusing, so Allan just stopped thinking about it.
When they came back with his two pokemon, Allan was happy to hear that they were perfectly fine now and would be able to fight. Now he was just curious to see what new pokemon he had to tag along with him.
"Thanks again you guys, I`m sure you`ll be seeing more of me later." Allan clipped the pokeballs to his belt and trotted off with them.
