OOC & C-Box Rules~ No spamming. This will not be tolerated. There is a board strictly for advertising other proboards sites, so use it wisely. And don't post the same thing more than once, on any board, for this is also spamming. ~ No flooding. Flooding is kind of like spamming, where you post the same thing over and over to get people's attention, and in reality, it's actually very annoying. So don't do it. ~ Please keep things at a PG-13 level. Thanks. ~ You must have a link to your PC thread in your signature. ~~~Example: [url=http://www.embereevee.proboards.com]My PC[/url] This is not an actual PC thread link, of course. ~~~For images, you follow the same code, but instead of "My PC" you will have the link to the image in IMG tags. Accounts~ You may have up to 3 accounts only. I, Rose Petals, must know each of your account display names so that I know who is who. ~ You may have up to 5 characters per account. ~ Each team member now counts as a character because of this rule change. Suspension/Deletion~ If you do not role play with all of your characters within 10 days, your account will be suspended for three days. ~ If you do not return and role play with your characters within the next three days after that, your account will be suspended for three more days and all of your characters will be deleted. ~ If you are still inactive after this, you will be permanently banned from this site. *These updated rules only apply to characters that have been put into play already. If you make a character and have not yet role played with him/her, these rules do not apply to that character.* ~ If you break any of the rules, your account will be suspended for three days. ~ If you break them again, your account will be suspended for five days. ~ If it happens a third time, you will be permanently banned from this site. *These updated rules only apply to those people who have not posted that they are going to be away in the Hello/Goodbye! board. If you have posted of your leaving for a time, you will be excused from these current rules and from any activity checks that may occur while you are away.* Back to top

iC Rules~ No God-modding or power-playing. Meaning, don't control another member's character, or try to make your character invincible. ~ Keep posts at a PG-13 level or less, please. Mild cursing is allowed, but don't do it excessively. No graphic breeding. There is a daycare center in Rojo Town that has a breeding service. When you get there, leave your Pokemon with the caretakers and they will breed your Pokemon for you. Come back in a couple days and get your Pokemon and your egg. Remember, not all breedings are successful. ~ You character's bio must be accepted before you are able to role play. ~ Members are not allowed to reply to threads as wild Pokemon. If you feel you deserve to be a Mod, apply for the position, and staff will discuss it. ~ No liquid posting. In other words, characters may not be in more than one place at a time. This is a gradual RPG, which means that you can't just go from Route 1 to the Elite Five in one or two posts, etc. You can't pick where you start, you must start at the Pokemon Lab and work your way up to the Champion. ~ When replying or creating a thread, please always try to type at least 150 words. It is not mandatory, but I don't want to see one or two sentences per post, or at all, really. If you are at the Pokemon center or a poke-mart, 150 words is excusable, but please try to write as much as possible. ~ You must use spell check. I repeat, you MUST use spell check. If the spell checker is not working for you, paste your post onto a word document and spell check it there, and just start typing it up that way, and paste it onto a reply/thread here. ~ As long as you keep them all active, you may have up to five characters. PROFESSORS DO NOT COUNT AS CHARACTERS TO STAFF, BUT YOU CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN 2 PROFESSORS. ~ Each character is allowed to have up to 8 Pokemon in their party at a time. Any Pokemon caught after you have 8 in your party are automatically sent to your PC. To switch Pokemon from your party to your PC, and vice versa, have your character go to a Pokemon Center, and the nurse there will do it at request. ~ There is no limit to the items you have in your backpack. Characters on here are like Mary Poppins... they just keep magically pulling things out of their backpack. ~ Lab threads should last between 5 to 15 posts {1 page} ~ Any route thread should be at least two pages, preferably three. However, you may stay as long as you like on any route to train, etc... You can stay up to 20 or 100 posts, if you like. It's up to you, but make sure you meet the minimum. There will soon be a minimum number of pages required set for each route individually. You can't make 1 page for the last route to get to the Elite 5. 1 page is like 1 day in routes, if not being said otherwise in a post. It will take longer than 1 day to get to the Elite 5. You do have to sleep.......... ~ No gym threads should be less than one page. ~ Pokemon Centers and Poke-marts, for the person buying the items... you do not have to post more than once, unless you wish. If you are staying the night to rest at a Pokemon Center, be courteous and let us know when you leave, that makes two posts. ~ The first time your character beats the Champion, you may request to be a Gym Leader. ~ When you character has beaten the Champion three times, you may request to become an Elite. ~ When your character has beaten the Champion five times, you may request to become the Champion. ~ There are other professions available, such as a Cashier/Helper at a Pokemart, a nurse or assistant at a Pokemon Center, or a breeder. Just make sure you add what your character's goal is in their profile. EVERY CHARACTER IS REQUIRED TO BEAT THE ELITE FOUR AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED FOR A PROFESSION. Pokemon Team and Moveset...~ Each character may have up to 8 Pokemon in his/her party at any given time. ~ Each Pokemon may know up to 6 moves in their moveset at any given time. ~ Pokemon levels go up to 100. After that, they cannot progress, though if you're a level 100 battling a level 2 or 20, etc., the level 100 is going to strike first no matter what and is going to knock the other Pokemon out with one hit. Simple, right? Back to top

AdminsAdmins are at the top of the game, so we have the most privileges. But we also have the most responsibilities.~ Admins are responsible for keeping Ember Eevee up-to-date, making sure everyone is happy, and advertising the site. Admins may also reply to trainer threads and gyms. ~ Admins are allowed to give out special and legendary Pokemon, such as Eevee and Entei. ~ Admins can make the more rare wild Pokemon appear to trainers any time they wish. ~ Admins are allowed to give extra items to trainers, and have wild Pokemon hold items that the trainer can either let it still hold or take it from that Pokemon to give to another or keep it for later use. ~ Admins can make contests for members to participate in, and can give any prize they wish for the winner to have. ~ Admins are allowed to give away promos, but only once a month. ~ Admins can make a Pokemon that is not on a certain route may VERY RARELY appear to a trainer, such as a Pokemon from Meadow Mill (the Safari), or just another route. Please be realistic, though... you're not going to find an fire type Pokemon in water, nor a grass type Pokemon in the power plant. Global ModeratorsG. Mods are well privileged, as well. There are some differences, though.~ G. Mods are responsible for replying to trainer threads and gyms, and of course, making everyone happy. ~ G. Mods are allowed to give out special Pokemon, such as an Eevee, occasionally. ~ G. Mods can make the more rare wild Pokemon appear to trainers every now and then, maybe one out of every three or four Pokemon that appear in the wild. No more than one rare Pokemon to the same trainer in the same thread, though. ~ G. Mods are allowed to give extra items to trainers, and have wild Pokemon hold items that the trainer can either let it still hold or take it from that Pokemon to give to another or keep it for later use. ~ G. Mods can make contests for members to participate in, and can give Pokemon or items as prizes to the winner. ~ G. Mods are allowed to give away promos, but only once a month. ModeratorsModerators, though the least privileged of the staff, still have quite a few perks.~ Mods are responsible for replying to trainer threads, and of course, making everyone happy. ~ Mods are allowed to give out special Pokemon, such as an Eevee, very rarely, about one out of every 10 to 15 Pokemon may be a special one. ~ Mods can only make common and uncommon wild Pokemon appear to trainers. ~ Mods can make contests for members to participate in, and can give one or two items as prizes to the winner. ~ If an Admin or G. Mod is absent for a day or so, and a trainer needs a reply to a thread, Mods may fill in for them, no matter the Pokemon {rare or not} currently in battle. This includes gym battles, Pokemon centers, and poke-marts. Note to all staff: Any staff member can make skins, so if you can do it, feel free. Also, any staff member may advertise Ember Eevee, just make sure I know where you advertise. If you affiliate with a site, you may use any of the mini-banners created to have posted. The only ones actually responsible for advertising, though, are the admins. Any of your admin functions can be used, as long as you don't abuse your privileges. If you are caught doing something you shouldn't, you will be demoted, and then if you cause trouble in the threads, or try to do a mod job, you will be banned. Note to everyone: Rules will be updated as necessary, so please check back every once in a while to make sure you aren't breaking any rules. There is a warning system, and I know how to use it. =D Back to top

Leveling SystemVS Wild PokemonYou will gain at most one level for every wild battle you partake in. Wild Pokemon battles have a 1:1 ratio. Meaning... Trainer sends out a Charmander against a wild Doduo. Charmander beats Doduo. Charmander gains 1 level. The most one Pokemon will ever gain from a wild Pokemon battle is one level. When you have a useless Pokemon, such as a Magikarp or Abra, that don't know any attack moves, they will gain one level per two battles they watch, so that's a half a level per battle watched. Of course they cannot participate in the battle, for they would faint for sure, but if they are watching a battle, they will still gain experience from it. Now consider this...Trainer sends out Charmander against wild Doduo. Charmander gets tired, so trainer recalls Charmander and switches to Zubat. Zubat beats Doduo. How many levels do each pokemon get? Charmander and Zubat both participated in the battle, and neither of them fainted, so they get 1 level each. If the trainer would have used 3 pokemon, each pokemon that battled would still have 1 level each. It still applies even if you used all of your pokemon, each one would still get 1 level. If you are battling a wild Pokemon, you can use one Pokemon against it or all Pokemon in your team. Scenario: A wild Linoone, LV. 35, suddenly appears. You have three Pokemon that are between the levels 10 and 15. You're not going to win this battle with only one of them, especially one at a time. You can use all three at the same time to take that Linoone down. In trainer and gym battles, you are not allowed to do this. You must match whatever your opponent dishes out. Happy battling! What if one of my pokemon fainted? Will it still gain a level?Though it may not seem fair, the Pokemon that fainted does not gain a level. Like in games, Pokemon that faint do not gain experience points, thus, they are farther away from gaining a level. So no, fainted Pokemon do not gain levels here. VS TrainersTrainer battles are a little different. Every single trainer battle (excluding gym leaders) is exactly the same. The winning Pokemon gains 2 levels. The maximum amount of levels you may gain from a Trainer battle is 2. Each Pokemon that participates in the battle and has not fainted, whether or not they were recalled, will gain two levels. It does not matter how many Pokemon you face, each Pokemon that battled and won will gain only 2 levels. P.S. Like in games and shows, your Pokemon are hurt after battle, so if they are fainted, you may not battle them again until you heal them with items or at the Pokemon Center. Summary:- Each Pokemon to battle a wild Pokemon, and does not faint, will gain one level at most.
- Each Pokemon to battle a Trainer, and does not faint, will gain two levels at most.
- Each Pokemon to battle a Gym will gain as many levels as the gym offers at most, as long as it does not faint.

Reward Coins~These coins will be randomly placed in various threads for anyone to pick up. ~Only staff may place these coins. Any staff member may place them. Temporary Mods are not staff, so they cannot place them. ~Anyone who picks them up may use them to purchase things from the coins store. Some Pokemarts also have items that can only be bought with these coins. ~If a coin is placed in an IC thread, the one that claims the coin must mod the thread, so in this case, only staff may pick these up. Don't worry, though, regular members will have a chance to collect these coins too. EDIT: ~ In an IC topic, if a coin is placed in a reply in which it was modded in an IC, and the regular member that is replying to their own topic that was modded, the member can pick up that coin.~If you spot a coin, you should post a claim in a reply, such as "Claiming the coin!" or "My coin!" etc... just as long as you claim it so we all know it's been claimed. But don't just post to claim the coin, be courteous enough to give even a short comment about the thread that you find the coin in. ~No coins will be placed anywhere in the staff board. This seems unfair to me, so I've made it a rule. ~Only one coin may be place at a time. You can't post two coins in one reply, that would not be very fair either. ~The coins must be placed in the last reply of a thread, that way it will be more easily spotted. ~No more than 3 coins may be place per staff member per day. Hope this will be fun! Rewards are great! Don't cha' think? =D The new coin.... This can be done the same way Pokemon are brought up, with the :: on either side of the name, and typing, rewardcoin :: rewardcoin :: Just without the spaces of course Back to top
