For the time being, these rules are to be followed. When this post is no longer seen, these rules will no longer apply.
Scenario: Two or more characters that are being controlled by different people are traveling together, and all people contributing to the thread are able to mod.
Solution: One person that is involved in the thread can mod at a time. However, their character and their character's Pokemon cannot participate in that battle. Each post as a wild Pokemon and your own character and Pokemon should be separate posts. This can result in a double post from time to time, but this is okay as long as this is the only reason I see double posts. Also, if a regular member is traveling with a mod, the same thing applies. The mod may mod the post, but cannot participate in the battle.
Why? Right now we have a few members, and all of the mods here are currently starting to travel together, and so we have no one to mod our posts. This also helps regular members that are traveling with a mod, because some mods may not be able to mod your post, for any reason, and so this way you can continue to role play without waiting for the return of another mod who can do so.
Rules about this...
1. Each Pokemon battling will gain the correct amount of experience levels.
2. Each Pokemon watching the battle will gain half the correct amount of experience levels.
Example:
Mod has a Pidgey, Mod has a Totodile, Member has a Caterpie.
A wild Poochyena shows up, controlled by the Mod with a Pidgey. The mod with the Pidgey cannot participate in this battle, and so s/he cannot fight the Poochyena with the Pidgey, nor can s/he capture the Poochyena. The Mod with the Totodile and the Member with the Caterpie both participate in this battle. The Member with the Caterpie catches the Poochyena. Totodile and Caterpie gain 1 level each. The Pidgey gains half a level. A Wurmple shows up, same concept... The Pidgey would then gain one level.
To sum it up, each Pokemon watching a battle will gain one level with every two battles s/he watches.
If you are still confused, please don't hesitate to PM me. I threw in a few examples so it may be easier to understand it than if I hadn't given any examples at all. I hope this will make things much easier for all of us. =D
